Associate Technical Support Engineer

 

Job Description


  1. Respond to, assess, and prioritize incoming requests for assistance via phone, email, and chat from users experiencing issues with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  2. Identify problems, conduct research, provide solutions, and follow up with customers as needed, escalating more complex cases to the appropriate team.
  3. Log and track calls using a problem management database, maintaining history records and related documentation.
  4. Prepare standard statistical reports, such as help desk incident reports.
  5. Work with programmers to explain software errors or recommend changes to programs.
  6. Test software and hardware to evaluate ease of use and whether the product will assist users in performing their work.
  7. Perform all other duties as assigned.
